The Wellington Beef are located on the Kāpiti Coast Athletic Field and Farmer's Market (colloquially known as the Butchery), where the majority of players signed to the team spend their downtime. The Kāpiti Coast Farmer's Market is most well-known for its beef, which is ethically sourced from the nearby meat mines.
Fans of the team, referring to themselves as "filet minions", are known to ask "where's the beef?" constantly, and chant "beef" menacingly. The Beef are the only team whose fans enjoy 
Meat Shower weather.
